Intracoastal Kayak/Canoe Cleanup Saturday out of Spanish River Park
The City of Boca Raton and Gumbo Limbo Nature Center are joining forces to remove harmful plastics and other trash during their ‘Intracoastal Kayak/Canoe Cleanup’ scheduled for Saturday, July 27.
The event is open and free for the pubic, will run from 9 a.m. until noon and will be headquartered at Spanish River Park, 3001 N. Ocean Blvd., Boca Raton, FL, 33431.
This cleanup effort – ‘Support Plastic Free July’ – is part of national campaign.
Those who register will be admitted free to Spanish River, along with your their kayak or canoe. Participants must bring their own kayak/canoe to take part in the cleanup on the water.
Persons can also register to walk along and pick up trash on the Spanish River Park and other nearby beaches.

Gloves, bags and grabbers for participants to paddle out to collect trash will be provided at Spanish River Park prior to the event’s start.
All participants using kayaks/canoes for the cleanup must:
- Wear a Personal Flotation Device
- All minors must be accompanied by an adult
- Must pre-register to receive free admission to Spanish River Park
